Week 27 Ultrasound

I went in the other day for my week 27 ultrasound. The ultrasound tech measured everything twice. She measured Mireya’s head and compared that to her abdomen, her thigh bone, the fluid in several different places, my cervix, etc. Every single thing measured perfectly! Mireya is growing right on schedule. The doctor also checked cord blood flow, which is great. The placenta and cord aren’t showing any signs of clotting. Thank you Lovenox!

The best part of the ultrasound experience is seeing Mireya. She is so beautiful! She still isn’t very cooperative though. They wanted to take a 3D picture of her face, but she wouldn’t hold still long enough. She also kept getting the hiccups. My favorite part of the whole thing was watching her little mouth. She kept opening and closing it like a little fish. It was amazing! I also loved seeing her open and close her little hand. She would stick it right up by her face and open it like she was waving. She even gave us a thumbs up at one point. I can’t wait to hold those little hands when she gets here.
